HEAVY WASHED BELGIAN LINEN TABLECLOTH IN ECRU
This pure Belgian linen tablecloth is different to most other table linens out there. Seeking the best quality linen made to the highest ethical standards we spent months searching for a product that would be versatile, easy to live with, and durable enough to be used every day. The thick, weighty fabric has a natural, vintage look and has been finished through a stone-washing process that makes the fabric wonderfully soft from the get-go.
The natural ecru colour of our linen is the unbleached and undyed colour of flax linen that has undergone no chemical treatment. This raw, organic colour derives its name from the French term meaning ‘unbleached’, typically used to refer to the light beige tone of raw linen and silk. Neither too grey nor too yellow, ecru is a true neutral that will serve as the perfect accompaniment to almost any other colour it is combined with. Over time and through washing, this colour will gradually and naturally fade and your linen will have a beautiful natural patina, known only to linen. Our natural ecru colour is both beautiful and ecological and quite unlike its dyed equivalents.
Our Heavy Washed Belgian Linen range is inspired by the heavyweight linens of times gone by. The fabric is sturdy and tightly woven, but it has a soft, worn-in finish that gives it a vintage look. The fabric has been pre-washed making it soft to the touch and giving it that wonderful live-in look. Above all, this fabric was designed to be a workhorse. Thick and weighty, it can withstand daily use and frequent washing and will only come out looking better.
Produced by a fifth-generation family-run Belgian mill that has been weaving linen for almost two hundred years, our Belgian linen range is expertly crafted and designed to last. The mill has been weaving the highest quality linen for centuries and is committed to creating linen using the most eco-friendly, sustainable production processes possible. Powered by the sun and the North Sea’s salty breeze, the mill is certified CO2 neutral. Their natural linen yarns are 100% compostable, woven with minimal impact, no chemical treatment, and zero waste as all flax by-products are re-used. Our producers are one of only 6 weavers worldwide that have been awarded the ‘Belgian Linen’ certificate. This label guarantees that all their linen is woven entirely in Belgium. Linen produced by weavers who carry this label receives an original certificate and a unique number making the origin of their linen transparent and traceable. The Belgian Linen certificate ensures traditional craftsmanship at the highest possible standard resulting in linen of exceptional quality and durability.

Care instructions: linen is a living material. The more it is used and washed, the softer it will become. That said, linen requires the right care and this can be different from other materials.
